Members of the Rock Island County Historical Society receive four newsletters per year. Dinner meetings are held twice a year, May and November. Members may invite guests to the dinners which include programs of historical interest. The dinners are held at various sites in the county. Special Events are held at various times during the year.
Members are entitled to a $12.00 per hour fee for having the RICHS staff do research, $3.00 reduction in the $15.00 fee. Of course, doing the research yourself is free.

Memberships and Gifts/Donations are tax deductible.
As RICHS is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we depend on membership dues, gifts and donations to operate our facilities. We receive no funds from the city, state or national government entities. As you have read on other pages, we have a rather large facility to maintain. All of our OFFICERS and staff are volunteers and no salaries are paid. One hundred percent of finances go to maintenance and operating expenses.
